Nikolai Ladutko, Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, expressed condolences to the Venezuelan people in connection with the death of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez.

As the "Minsk-news" agency correspondent reports, today Nikolai Ladutko visited the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Belarus and made the following entry in the Book of Condolences:”We express our deepest condolences on the death of a man of the world, the leader of the Movement of Non-Aligned countries, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez. He was a great friend of Minsk. Everything that he started will be continued and done. His name has forever gone down in the history of our capital."

- “This is a great man - a man of the world. The loss is significant. We bow our heads and pay tribute to the inflexible fighter for the happiness and prosperity of his people. He did a lot, and the years during which he governed the country will rightfully become golden milestones in the history of Venezuela” - said the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee. – “This is a hero of Latin America and a true friend of our country, of our people. He has died, but his ideas will live on in our memories. We remember the visit of Hugo Chavez to our capital when, after visiting the new blocks of buildings in the residential area of Kamennaya Gorka, he expressed his wish that similar blocks of buildings were also built in the Venezuelan towns and cities. I'm sure all the projects and initiatives will be continued, and our relationship with Venezuela will further grow and develop."

Nikolai Ladutko gave a hint that one of the Minsk streets will be named after Hugo Chavez.- “It will be humanly and historically correct. However it is only my point of view, the final decision is to be made by the City Council of Deputies, - said Nikolai Ladutko.
