In the period from 4 to 7 March 2017, the Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Andrei Vladimirovich DOMORATSKY was in the Lithuanian and Estonian Republics. The official delegation included representatives of the Economy Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, administrations of the Partizansky and Frunzensky Districts, as well as business circles of the city of Minsk.
During the visit, on March 4, the Belarusian delegation took part in the opening of the international exhibition “Kazyukas”, visited the Belarusian exposition at the fair.
Kazyukas is an annual fair in Vilnius, taking place on the first weekend of March. National craftsmen from all over Lithuania and from neighboring countries - Poland, Latvia, Russia, the Republic of Belarus, etc. come here. Kazyukas is a holiday in honor of the arrival of spring and the day of the memory of St. Casimir. It should be noted that the fair dates back to the early 17th century.
In addition, the delegation carried on negotiations with the president and organizer of the international exhibition “Kazyukas” Vityanis Urba on further cooperation. The parties reached an agreement to hold an exhibition of goods of Belarusian manufacturers in October 2017 in Vilnius. The organizer of the exhibition will be the MUE "Minskvneshtorginvest".
On March 4-5, 2017, the Belarusian delegation met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Lithuania KOROL Alexander Alexandrovich, as well as with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Estonia STEPUS Anatoly Alekseevich in order to outline the main directions for further cooperation.
On 6 March 2017, in the Tallinn City Council there was held a meeting with the Deputy Mayor of the city of Tallinn Arvo Sarapuu. The key event was the Belarusian-Estonian business forum with participation of representatives of business circles of the city of Minsk and the Republic of Estonia. In the course of the business forum, N. Rogashchuk, Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, conducted a presentation of the trade, economic, industrial and investment potential of the city of Minsk. Presentations were also conducted by First Deputy Head of the Partizansky District Administration D.V. Kapitan, First Deputy Head of the Frunzensky District Administration D.G. Leonchik DG, as well as by representatives of business circles of the city of Minsk.
Within the framework of the visit, Denis Viktorovich KAPITAN, First Deputy Head of the Partizansky District Administration, together with representatives of the enterprises of the District (OJSC “Confectionery Factory “Slodych”, LLC “LINLINE Medical Systems”, CJSC “Food Complex “Phoenix”, LLC “Minsk City Technopark”) had a meeting with the Elder of Lasnamäe Maria Ufereva and representatives of Lasnamäe enterprises.
Lasnamäe is the most populated district in Tallinn. The district is historically Russian-speaking, and the share of Estonians in it continues to decline in the post-Soviet period. The district is twinned with the Partizansky District of the city of Minsk.
On 7 March 2017, First Deputy Head of the Frunzensky District Administration Dmitry Georgievich LEONCHIK, together with representatives of the district enterprises and other members of the Belarusian delegation, held a meeting with the Mayor of MaarduVladimir Arkhipov and representatives of enterprises of the city of Maardu.
Maardu is a city in the county of Harjumaa which is in the north-central part of Estonia. The city lies on the shore of Muuga Bay. Russians make up the largest number of people living in the city, Estonians make up about 20%. The city is twinned with the Frunzensky District of the city of Minsk.
In addition, in the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Estonia there was held a meeting of KANASH Alexander Adamovich, General Director of the SO "Garages, Car Parks and Parking-places", with the Head of the transport organization and parking operator of Tallinn Thomas Vitsut, and representatives of Smart Parking Card (SPC) at which there was presented the product - smart parking card (universal facility for automatic payment for parking services and identification of cars on toll parking places).
It should be noted that the Estonian business community is highly interested in mutually beneficial cooperation with the Republic of Belarus.
