10 December 2008 → CIS Interpol National Bureaus to coordinate cooperation

The Heads of the National Central Bureaus of the CIS Interpol will meet at the third annual session of the Heads of the CIS Interpol National Central Bureaus in Minsk on December 10, BelTA learnt from the information and PR department of the Interior Ministry of Belarus.

The event will take place at the international centre for training, retraining and enhancement of qualifications of the personnel in the area of migration and human trafficking. On this day the Interpol National Central Bureau of Belarus will mark its 15th anniversary. Interior Minister of Belarus Vladimir Naumov will open the session.

The participants of the session are planning to consider the most important issues related to the coordination of the CIS cooperation within the Interpol frameworks in the area of combating crime, international terrorism, human trafficking and illegal migration, distribution of drugs, crimes in the field of finances, economy and high technologies.

The forum will also focus on the ways of improving the processing of the police information for timely response to the requests of the Interpol participating countries and an opportunity for the law-enforcement bodies to acquire an access to the Interpol database.

Attending the session will be the heads of the National Central Bureaus of the CIS Interpol, the officials of the Interpol General Secretariat and the Executive Committee, the CIS Executive Committee, observers from the Interpol National Central Bureau of several European countries. The forum will complete with signing the final document on December 11.
