19 May 2010 → Belavia, Air France sign interline-agreement
The Belarusian carrier Belavia and Air France have concluded a bilateral interline-agreement. Now the airline partners can accept each other’s travel tickets, BelTA learnt from the national air company.
This cooperation opens up new opportunities for travelers. “They will be able to buy electronic air tickets on the flights of the airline- partners all over the world,” Belavia said.
E-ticket has many advantages over a paper one especially for businessmen, who value their time. With an e-ticket technology, there is no need going to a Belavia office or traveling to an airport in advance to have a ticket issued. Moreover, e-ticket cannot be left behind or lost, while check-in with such a ticket is easy and time-saving.
Nowadays e-ticket is successfully used practically on all regular routes of Belavia. Belavia has signed more than 20 interline-agreements including with Аeroflot - Russian Airlines, CSA, LOT, Austrian, Air Baltic, Аerosvit, British Airways, KLM, Alitalia, Finnair and others.
Belavia was set up on 5 March 1996. The air company operates regular flights to 30 airports in 20 countries. Belavia is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The company meets the highest international safety standards.
