18 April 2017 → The exhibition "TIBO-2017" was opened in Minsk
The XXIV international specialized forum on telecommunications, information and banking technologies "TIBO-2017" was opened in the Football Manege on April 18, the correspondent of the "Minsk-Novosti" agency reports.
The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky read out a welcoming message from the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. He noted that today information technologies are being introduced everywhere and transform all spheres of human activity. Dynamic development of the IT sector is one of the main tasks of the state.
As the Minister of Communications and Informatization of Belarus Sergey Popkov said, this year more than 100 companies and organizations from 17 countries take part in the exhibition.
“We tried to bring to the exhibition the most advanced solutions in the field of telecommunications and informatization. We are grateful to the world's leading companies for their willing participation in “TIBO-2017”, "he said.
Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Marianna Schetkina, Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union Houlin Zhao, Director General of the Universal Postal Union Bishar Hussein, Chairman of the Council of the Heads of Communications Administrations - participants of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications, Minister of Communications and Mass Media Communications of the Russian Federation Nikolai Nikiforov also took part in the opening ceremony.
The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, diplomatic missions, guests and exhibitors.
TIBO-2017 presents the latest technological solutions developed by the largest Belarusian telecommunications operators (RUE “Beltelecom”, JVLC ”MTS”, UE” VELCOM”, CJSC “BeST”, JVLC Belarusian Technologies), and companies, for example , Huawei, ZTE, Chine Telecom. The Ministry of Communications and Informatization of Belarus, the High-Tech Park, the Minsk City Executive Committee and other organizations also present their expositions.
Visitors can find out what is meant by a "smart house", "smart city", Internet of things, e-government and they can also test new smart phones and various technological developments.
For example, the stand of the Minsk City Executive Committee shows the developments of the residents of the Minsk city tech park - the unmanned aircraft complex "Shershen", a robotic vacuum cleaner, a 3D printer. There are also presented electronic projects that are implemented in the fields of education and health of the capital. OJSC "Minsk television information networks" also informs about its activity here.
“Every year at the TIBO the Minsk City Executive Committee presents a collective stand where it demonstrates all the novelties introduced in the previous year and some promising developments to be implemented in the near future. So, a new information resource "I am Minsk" will soon start working. It will allow the residents of the capital to express their opinion and vote for the submitted projects on changing the urban environment," said Oleg Sedelnik, Director of the Information Technologies Center of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
Within the framework of the "TIBO" forum the IX National Philatelic Exhibition "Belfila-2017" is also taking place. The exhibition is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Belarusian postage stamp and the 950th anniversary of Minsk.
