03 September 2009 → Latvian Parex Asset Management opening office in Minsk
The Latvian company Parex Asset Management (PAM) is opening an office in Minsk, BelTA learnt from PAM representatives. Belarus is the fourth CIS country where Parex Asset Management is present. The company aims to step up its international business, including business in the ex-USSR, by providing clients with a wide choice of financial solutions and investment products. The office will focus on consultations on trust management, market research as well as the promotion of investment opportunities in the Baltic states and Eastern Europe. Chairman of the Board of Parex Asset Management Robert Idelson said: “We consider Belarus as a very attractive region in terms of its investment potential and in terms of our offered product range. Our presence here will definitely strengthen our standings in the asset management market. We will offer customers innovative and competitive products as well as professional financial advice built on our longstanding work experience in Eastern Europe.” Parex Group has been represented in Belarus for 16 years since the first Parex banka’s foreign office was opened in Minsk in 1993. The bank’s subsidiary Parex Leasing has also been successfully operating in Minsk since 2005. Parex Asset Management is the largest investment company in the Baltic states, with the managed assets close to ?1 billion. PAM offers asset management services to individuals and corporations, investment funds, retirement plans, insurance companies. PAM’s subsidiaries offer asset management services in Lithuania, Ukraine, and Russia. In 2007 the magazine Funds Europe named PAM the best European specialized investment company.
