14 September 2009 → Belarus to host Week of Peace 15-21 SeptemberThe nationwide action “Week of Peace” will be held in Belarus on 15-21 September, BelTA learnt from Professor Marat Egorov, Chairman of the Belarusian Peace Fund. The action will start on 15 September – the Day of Peace which is annually marked in Belarus and it will finish on 21 September – the International Day of Peace announced by the UN General Assembly in 2001. Within the framework of the action, lectures, conferences, presentation of films about the war, meetings with war veterans will be held. On 21 September, a concert of outstanding Belarusian art groups will be given in Minsk.
