17 September 2009 → Belarus-India IT training centre to open at HTP in 2009

A Belarusian-Indian centre to provide training in information and communication technologies is to be set up in the High-Tech Park (HTP) in Minsk by the end of 2009. The relevant arrangements are stipulated in the Belarusian-Indian memorandum of understanding signed on 17 September.
Foreign Minister of the Republic of India Somanahalli Mallaiah Krishna expressed hope that the new centre will serve as an example of a bilateral cooperation the both sides aspire for. “Young Belarusians will master cutting-edge computer technologies with the help of Indian teachers and then Belarusian specialists trained in India,” he explained.
HTP Administration Director Valery Tsepkalo told reporters that the Indian government granted $1 million for this project.
