12 October 2009 →  Minsk to play host to Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum 13 October

More than 200 companies and organizations from 14 countries will take part in the 14th Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum to be held in Minsk on 13-16 October, BelTA learnt from the organizing committee of the event.

The forum is intended to present the advanced experience in power engineering, energy-saving technologies and equipment. The event is organized by the Energy Ministry, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, Industry Ministry, Ministry of Housing and Utilities, State Committee for Science and Technology, Energy Efficiency Department of the State Committee for Standardization, National Academy of Sciences, Minsk City Hall, and the Technics & Communications company (T&C).

The programme of the forum includes International Specialized Exhibition: Energy. Ecology. Energy Saving. Electro (Energy Expo), ExpoLIGHT exhibition and Water and Air Technologies. The 14th Belarusian Energy and Ecology Congress on 14 October will focus on energy-saving, energy industry development during the financial crisis, the evolution of the nature management legislation.

The programme of the forum also features roundtable sessions, seminars-presentations, first international conference “Alternative Energy and Energy Saving: Private-State Partnership, and a workshop “State support and favorable investment climate to promote energy saving and energy efficiency in Russia and Belarus'.

Energy Expo was first held in 1995. It traditionally draws the attention of leading international and domestic manufacturers of hardware, technologies and materials for the energy sector, environmental protection, energy saving and electrical engineering. Today the exhibition is one of the largest of its kind in the CIS and the Baltic States.
