21 October 2009 → Minsk-Budapest direct flight might be launched

A direct flight between Minsk and Budapest might be launched, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Belarus Ferenc Kontra told a press conference on 20 October.
“It is too early to say when the direct flight will be launched,” the Ambassador said. According to him, the two countries are currently discussing cooperation in air communication.
Apart from that, the sides are working on agreements on mutual protection of investments, military burials, and tourism.
According to the Ambassador, five interstate agreements, six intergovernmental ones and ten ministerial agreements are now in effect between Belarus and Hungary.
Ferenc Kontra pointed out the success of the cultural cooperation between the countries. “The Days of Belarusian Culture are to be held in Hungary in 2010, while the Days of Hungarian Culture will be held in Belarus in 2011,” the diplomat said.
