18 November 2009 → Let’s Connect CIS Space summit in Minsk to gather 400 participants
Let’s Connect the CIS Space high-level meeting, which will be held in Minsk on 26-27 November, will gather more than 400 participants, Nikolai Strukov, Deputy Communications and Informatization Minister of Belarus, told a press conference on 17 November.
The Presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will deliver speeches at the forum. Moldova’s Acting President Mihai Gimpu has already confirmed his participation in the summit. Attending the meeting will be Jan Kubis, UN Deputy Secretary General, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe, and Sergei Lebedev, CIS Executive Secretary.
Taking part in summit will be ministers of eight countries, representatives of the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, etc.
The Russian delegation will include the largest number of participants, Head of the External Affairs Department of the Communications and Informatization Ministry Leonid Fedotov said. The delegation will be headed by Russian Minister for Information and Mass Communication Igor Schegolev.
