03 December 2009 → Venezuela interested in Belarusian extraction and processing technologies

Cooperation with Belarus, especially in transfer of technologies, is very important for Venezuela, a famous Venezuelan writer Eva Golinger told BelTA on 2 December.

Eva Golinger, Director General and cofounder of the Strategic Research Center in Caracas, visited Minsk and delivered a speech at Minsk State Linguistic University on 2 December.

Eva Golinger stressed that Venezuela believes Belarus will help it solve many economic problems. Venezuela is rich in natural resources, but it needs technologies for extraction and processing of these resources, that is why the experience of Belarusian experts is important for Venezuela. “Other countries also want to work in Venezuela, but some of them are interested in extraction only, they do not care about environment and transfer of technologies. But Belarus or, for instance, Russia, China and Iran cooperate with Venezuela on mutually beneficial terms and take into account environmental requirements and other important issues," Eva Golinger said.

Eva Golinger has both Venezuelan and American citizenship. She studies the problems of interference in domestic affairs of Venezuela and other states of the Latin America.
