In 2009, the Minskvneshtorginvest company held 33 exhibitions and fairs in the Russian Federation. All in all, the Minsk-based company exported goods to the tune of around $10 million to Russia, BelTA learnt from Ruslan Mekhtiev, head of the exhibitions and fairs organization department of Minskvneshtorginvest.
Minskvneshtorginvest was founded in 2004. The company specializes in organizing exhibitions and fairs abroad, holding business sessions, providing assistance in export of goods. Over the five years, the number of the fairs has increased up to 35 and the number of their participants up to 150, Ruslan Mekhtiev noted. Minskvneshtorginvest has begun to operate with enterprises from other regions of Belarus as well.
The major part of the fairs is held in Moscow and also in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Izhevsk, Veliky Novgorod, Serpukhov, Podolsk, Khimki and Noginsk. The Minsk-produced goods are in popular demand in Russia owing to their quality and reasonable prices.
“In December, two fairs more are expected to be held in Moscow. In 2010, the Minskvneshtorginvest company will hold 35 fairs including 24 fairs in the South Administrative District of Moscow which concluded a cooperation agreement with the Minsk City Executive Committee,” Ruslan Mekhtiev said.
