7 September 2017 → The II International Minsk Medical Forum has been opened in the capital
The opening of the II International Minsk Medical Forum, which includes the current problems and achievements of domestic healthcare, was held on September 7 in the hotel "Victoria Olymp Hotel", the "Minsk-Novosti" Agency correspondent reports.
The solemn opening of the event was held with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus, the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Belarus Natalia Zhukova, who noted in her speech a high level of the healthcare system in the capital, without which Minsk would not be a successful and prosperous city.
"Today Minsk is a unique platform for the development and strengthening of international relations in the field of medicine," said Sergey Malyshko, Cairman of the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee. "The choice of our city for carrying out this significant event testifies to the recognition of the high level of professionalism of Belarusian medicine and has great socio-political significance. I am sure that the Forum will become a good platform for sharing experiences in practical healthcare and in organizing interaction between different communities of doctors from different countries”, he added.
The Forum is attended by leading specialists from Belarus, CIS and other countries. They will exchange their knowledge, experience in the field of diagnostics and treatment of patients. In particular, the program provides for the consideration of urgent problems in the prevention and diagnosis of non-contagious diseases.
The work of the Forum will last for two days. Plenary sessions are planned to be held at the clinics of the capital. Reports will be delivered by leading scientists and practical doctors of Belarus, as well as specialists from Austria, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia, Sweden and Japan. The most acute problems of modern medicine in the field of cardiology, interventional surgery, transplantology, obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics will be offered for discussion. In addition, they are going to organize the work of the sections "Surgery", "Therapy", "Pediatrics", "Obstetrics and gynecology", "Neonatology", "Stomatology", "Infectious diseases and epidemiology", "Aspects of the quality of medical services". It is also planned that the Head of the Echocardiography Department of the University Hospital of Akita (Japan) Satoshi Kibira will conduct a master class on echocardiography.
The organizers of the II International Minsk Medical Forum are the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Belarusian Association of Doctors.
