20 November 2017 → Parliamentary delegation of Georgia laid flowers in Victory Square

The Georgian parliamentary delegation laid a wreath at the Victory Monument and flowers to the Eternal Flame on November 20, the "Minsk-Novosti" Agency reports.

The delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze.

In Victory Square, the foreign guests were met by the Chairman of the Minsk City Council of Deputies Vasily Panasyuk and Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Marianna Schetkina.

The Georgian parliamentary delegation arrived in Belarus on an official visit on November 20 and will stay in the country until November 22. The delegation is planning to meet with the Chairman of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich and the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko, with the professorial and teaching staff, as well as students of the Belarusian State University. The delegation is to visit the following Belarusian enterprises: “BelAZ”, agricultural integrated plant “Snov”, Park of High Technologies.

As a result of the visit, the National Assembly of Belarus and the Parliament of Georgia are going to sign a joint statement.
