2 March 2018 → Exhibition of Nikas Safronov's paintings opened in the Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery
A personal exhibition of paintings by the honored artist of the Russian Federation, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Nikas Safronov solemnly opened in the Art Gallery of Mikhail Savitsky, the “Minsk-Novosti" Agency correspondent reports.
The exhibition is called "Spring of Impressions - Nikas. Paintings. Optimism".
“There is the beauty itself, refinement, soft humor in these paintings, so Nikas Safronov has made an excellent gift first of all to us, women, on the eve of the 8th of March holiday,” Irina Dryga, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, said opening the exhibition.
The opening ceremony was attended by Alexander Surikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus, Pavel Skalaban, Head of the Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, and other officials.
- "Wherever I am – in Minsk, Brest or Vitebsk, Belarusians always receive me and my works very warmly," Nikas Safronov said in reply. “I love Minsk. I have brought a unique exposition to you, one hundred percent renewed. I do remember how my first personal exhibition was held within the same walls four years ago, after which our partnership became even stronger.
During the opening of the exhibition, there was shown a collection of dresses "Other Worlds" the authors of which are Artist Nikas Safronov and Designer Svetlana Lyalina. The dresses that the first visitors of the exhibition saw are called "In Search of Shambhala", "Gothic Gate to Paradise", "... And the Holy Spirit". At the piano this evening there was the son of the artist - the famous pianist Luka Zatravkin-Safronov.
The presentation ended with an author's excursion through the halls of the gallery, where about a hundred picturesque paintings by Nikas Safronov are now located. The artist told those present about how he creates his canvases, what meanings he puts into each work.
Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Yury Bondar took part in the excursion with great pleasure too.
The exhibition "Spring of Impressions - Nikas. Paintings. Optimism" will last until April 23.
The event is held with the support of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
