New products from Minsk Tractor Plant were brought to the leading international exhibition of agricultural machinery and equipment Agritechnica in Hanover (Germany), the "Minsk-Novosti" Agency correspondent was told at the Press service of the plant.
The outward appearance of the new line of tractors has changed markedly: the shape of the hood and the design of the headlights have changed. At the same time, the designers have retained the MTP corporate identity, so that the equipment is still recognizable.
On the eve of the exhibition, the MTP General Designer Andrei Stasilevich said that a modern model range is currently under development, which is wide in both power and properties and meant for different markets. Two lines of tractors are supposed to be produced, and the designers warn that the differences between simple and high-tech models will be significant. These two models are planned to be developed in parallel. The equipment, simple and familiar to consumers today, will be oriented to countries where they need tractors without any frills and at affordable prices, and new models are aimed at high-tech markets in Europe and America.
The prototype BELARUS-742 is a novelty with the roots of MTP-50 and MTP-80. The tractor will become the base in a new line of equipment with engines with a capacity of 50–75 h.p. The model will meet Stage V European environmental requirements.
Also, Minsk tractor builders brought to Hannover a small-sized serial tractor BELARUS-622.5 in the version for ski runs. BELARUS-923 is presented in a modernized form and with a Stage V engine. In addition, three more models of BELARUS tractors are presented at the exhibition: 952, 1220 and 1523.
It is in the immediate plans of tractor builders to introduce automatic transmissions, auto-driving systems, that is, positions that have not been used before, into serial production.
