26 August 2016 → Residents of Minsk and guests of the capital are kindly invited to visit the international travelling exhibition project "Heroes of the Nuclear Front. The Scene of the Feat - Chernobyl"
The Project Exhibition will be held from August 25 to September 23 at the State Institution "Museum of the City of Minsk" - Art Gallery named after Mikhail Savitsky (Minsk, Svobody sq., 15).
The project involves: people's artists of Russia: Vladimir Thelin, Sergey Gavrilyachenko, Yevgeny Romashko; honored artists of Russia: Vilen Karakashev, Konstantin Petrov, Oleg Zakomorny and other well-known Russian artists, such as Alisher Pyatkov, Olga Grechina, Sergey Geta.
The project consists of a series of travelling exhibitions which in the year of 2016 will be held at the largest exhibition venues in cities of Russia and the Republic of Belarus. The exposition includes documentary drawings, sketches, feature reports from the scene made by artists during the liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, works of art, paintings, drawings, sculptures, films and installations devoted to the events of the Chernobyl tragedy, works by famous artists and sculptures as well as works by creative young people.
The tragedy affected not only Russia but also many countries of the former USSR. The tragedy of Chernobyl - is a common pain of the people regardless of their nationality, religion or country of residence. The project contributes to familiarizing the audience with universal values through the study of the past experience. The project will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening the international and cultural relations, reflect the multi-ethnic issues and provide an opportunity to try to analyze and learn a lesson from the historical experience.
