7 February 2018 → The central site for Maslenitsa celebration will be located near the Sports Palace

The main city fair "Minsk Pancake Week!" will be held on February 17 from 10:00 to 20:00 on the site near the Sports Palace (4, Pobediteley Avenue), the "Minsk-Novosti" Agency correspondent was told in the Main Department of the Consumer Market of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

"For the visitors of the fair we will prepare a wide assortment of dishes of national cuisine, a rich collection of pancakes, sausages, crunchy puff pastries made of buckwheat dough, shish kebabs, mochanka, brisket and many other things. Minsk citizens and guests of the capital will be able to participate in promotional campaigns and drawings with gifts, taste various treats," specified one of the representatives of the Main Department of the Consumer Market of the Minsk City Executive Committee. "The visitors of the event won’t be indifferent to the creative project "Pancake Fantasy!" to be offered by first-class chefs of the shops, restaurants and cafes of the capital".

In addition to all sorts of dishes the visitors will have a chance to enjoy a nice cultural program and musical accompaniment.

On February 17 the carnival celebration will also be widely held in the city parks, for example, in Cheluskintsev Park, in the park named after the 900th anniversary of Minsk (Chizhovka). In the children's park named after Maxim Gorky the approach of spring will be celebrated on February 18.
