The traditional ecological action "A Day without a Car" will be held in the capital on September 22, a Minsk-News agency correspondent was told at the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

According to experts, a large-scale holiday-like program is planned in Lenin Street. In this street, as in previous years, the traffic of road transport will be blocked.

It is planned to include an entertainment program for children on this festive day. In store for young guests of the event there are intellectual and mobile games, quizzes. Animators are going to work with them..Children will be able to test their skills in figured driving a bicycle, please themselves with aqua-make-up and toys from balloons.

“The adult audience will not get bored either. There has been planned a concert and entertainment program: performances of youth musical groups, plastic theater "Inzhest", show of bike stuntmen and much more", assured one of the representatives of the Committee.

In addition, on September 22, as part of an environmental campaign, owners of private cars will have a chance to take public transport for free. To go by bus, trolley, tram or in the subway it will be possible with a driver's license and a technical passport for the car.

“This action is popular among Minsk citizenss. Last year, for example, 16.5 thousand people used the right of free travel in the Moscow metro”, noted one of the officials of the Committee.
