19 September 2019 → The Second Festival of Circus Art in Minsk will Bring Together Artists from 19 Countries
The Second Minsk International Circus Art Festival will be held in the capital from September 19 to 22, the organizers of the event told the "Minsk-Novosti" Agency correspondent.
The arena of the Belarusian State Circus will gather artists from 19 countries: Australia, Belarus, Brazil, Hungary, Germany, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, North Korea, Mexico, Moldova, Russia, Romania, USA, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Ethiopia.
"The jury consists of well-known in the circus world producers, managers and directors of circuses," the Belarusian State Circus representative said. "Performances of the artists will be held in classes "A" and "B", after which the jury will determine the most skillful participants in the gala concert".
At the Festival, spectators will get acquainted with the whole palette of types of circus art: gymnastics, acrobatics, clowning, juggling, training, athletics, illusionism and tightrope-walking.
The prize of the Festival is a cylinder of brocade and straw produced by one of the Belarusian enterprises.
The First Minsk International Circus Art Festival was held two years ago - in 2017, on the occasion of the 950th Anniversary of the city. It gathered artists from 16 countries. The Grand Prix was received by the staff of the Belarusian Circus for holding the circus Forum. Gold awards were taken home by artists from North Korea and Russia.
The Festival is organized with the support of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
