7 November 2019 → An exhibition of the beauty and health industry "InterSTYL-2019" has opened in Minsk

On November 7, an exhibition of the beauty and health industry "InterSTYL-2019" opened at the Football Arena. Also, there are competitions in hairdressing, nail service and visage "Windrose HAIR-2019", the "Minsk-Novosti" Agency correspondent reports.

Right at the entrance you can be surprised at the huge queue, consisting mainly of the fair sex. And just by going inside, you understand why this place has become a real paradise on Earth for any woman. Decorative and medical cosmetics, various skin and hair care products, hundreds of perfume bottles. In a word, if it seemed to you that your wife or girl-friend has too many bottles on the shelf in the bathroom, then, coming here, it will become clear that your other half still has a rather modest set. After all, more than 120 companies are representing their products.

But there is not only something to see, but also to listen to. Famous stylists and cosmetologists, including those from neighbouring countries, conduct master classes and lectures. And anyone can try themselves in the role of a model for an elegant manicure or ornate hairstyle. However they will have to stand in a rather big queue.

The hottest battles have erupted on the site where hairdressers and makeup artists compete. This year many juniors are participating - students and graduates of various educational institutions.

"This is the 12th time that we have arranged the" HAIR Windrose" and "Style and Beauty" competitions." The number of participants is constantly growing. This time over 500 people compete in various categories. It is very nice that state educational institutions take an active part in the competitions. I wish all the contestants not only victories, but also success in their further professional activities. This is a good opportunity to exchange experience with colleagues, learn something. And then, with new skills, to delight customers of the capital's hairdressing and beauty salons," said Konstantin Voitekhovsky, Director of the Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians of Belarus.

Each nomination has its own evaluation criteria. For example, in hairdressing, judges evaluate primarily the shape, silhouette, purity of lines and colour. An important role is played by the speed of the work, because a certain amount of time is allotted to each task. The jury consists of professional stylists, hairdressers, make-up artists, nail service masters from all over the country.

"I try to participate in these competitions every year. We have been friends with many rivals for a long time, we exchange experience, we adopt various "chips". It helps a lot in professional activities," says the hairdresser Irina. "Of course, you can learn from videos on YouTube, but there is no sensible feedback. There is no way to clarify how, for example, to trim the lock correctly."

She is summoned by a young girl who has turned out to be a model for the contest.

"Yes, I'm coming. Don’t worry, dear, now we’ll do it for you beautifully," Irina says laughing.

The exhibition and competitions will last all the weekend - until November 10th.

The organizers of the international festival of beauty and the championship are the Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians of Belarus, the Department of Domestic and Hotel Services for the Population of the Minsk City Executive Committee with the support of the exhibition company CJSC "Technics and Communications".
