The visit of the official delegation of Nur-Sultan to Minsk is a logical continuation of the meeting of the presidents of Belarus and Kazakhstan, which took place on October 25 in the Kazakh capital.
"We arrived, one might say, in hot pursuit to fulfill those instructions on the development of bilateral cooperation that were voiced there," A. Kulginov said.
It’s worth mentioning that relations between Minsk and Kazakhstan are estimated for decades. In 1994, the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Almaty Administration signed an agreement on cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific, practical, and cultural fields. A similar agreement was signed in 2000 with the akimat of Nur-Sultan.
Trade and economic cooperation between the Belarusian capital and the Republic of Kazakhstan is gaining momentum. In January-September of this year, trade amounted to $ 238.6 million - 133% compared to the same period in 2018, exports increased by 34.7%, imports - by 25.7%. "This yearmore than 2.4 million US dollars of investments has been attracted from Kazakhstan. Given the benefits provided to investors, I believe that the amount can be much larger. As an example of cooperation, I want to note the implementation by Itamari LLC of the project for the construction of a fitness center in Dzerzhinsky Ave worth more than $ 4 million, which is planned to be completed by the end of 2021. I hope the number of joint projects will increase in the near future, because for this all conditions have been created," the Chairman of the Minsk city Executive Committee emphasized.
The current visit of the Nur-Sultan delegation to Minsk is intended to expand cooperation between the two capitals, as well as to identify new areas for interaction.
